How to measure. Lay a jacket you own flat and buttoned. Chest is measured across the front seam to seam, then doubled. Length runs from the highest shoulder point to the hem. Allow a ½–1 inch tolerance. Fit. ERD jackets are cut oversized. If you sit between two sizes or plan to layer lightly, size down.
Erd Spiked & Painted Leather Jacket
The ERD Spiked & Painted Leather Jacket is not a garment that was made — it is a garment that happened, the way a bar fight happens or a movement collapses: layer by layer, mark by mark, spike by spike, until the surface became a topography of every allegiance, every night, and every band that mattered before the scene ate itself alive.
The body is cut from heavily distressed black leather in the asymmetric double-rider silhouette — the Perfecto archetype that punk claimed from motorcyclists and never gave back. Dense clusters of conical metal spikes and dome studs cover the shoulders and upper yoke in an aggressive field of chrome hardware, transforming the upper body into something closer to armour than apparel. The diagonal front zip is heavy-gauge silver, flanked by multiple zip pockets and snap-fastened elements positioned with the functional aggression that defines the double-rider construction. A belted waist tab cinches the lower body. Across every remaining surface, the jacket has been hand-painted, scratched, and scrawled — AVSKUM is stencilled in white across the left chest, the Swedish word for “scum” and the name of the Gothenburg crust-punk band whose ethos the jacket ingests without asking permission. GLOOM appears in red handwritten paint below, and NEGATIVE FX — the Boston hardcore band — is tagged in white on the lower left panel. The ENFANTS RICHES DÉPRIMÉS name sits near the collar in small text, arriving last in a hierarchy of credits that privileges the underground over the label that is quoting it. Additional scratches, abrasions, and paint marks cover the hide in a density that makes the jacket feel archaeological — each mark a stratum, each tag a date.
Constructed in an oversized unisex silhouette that preserves the classic double-rider proportions — fitted through the torso, cropped at the waist, lapels notched wide — while scaling them into ERD’s generous cut. Each jacket is individually hand-finished, hand-studded, and hand-painted within a strictly limited micro-batch production, making every unit a functionally unrepeatable one-of-one artefact. Specialist leather clean only — do not machine wash, steam, or submerge; store on a wide padded hanger away from direct sunlight and heat; do not remove studs, spikes, or paint — see full garment care instructions. Available in sizes S, M, L, XL.
Enfants Riches Déprimés — French for “Depressed Rich Kids” — was founded in 2012 by conceptual artist Henri Alexander Levy. The house welds 1970s French avant-garde tailoring to raw punk nihilism, producing hyper-exclusive isolating objects that compress an entire subculture’s wardrobe archaeology into a single piece of outerwear priced for the class the subculture was built to oppose.
Crafted across Los Angeles (USA), Italy, and Japan.
Every spike is a boundary. Every tag is a eulogy. The jacket does not care which one you read first.

FAQ
What material is the ERD Spiked & Painted Leather Jacket made from?
Heavily distressed full-grain black leather adorned with conical metal spikes and chrome dome studs across the shoulders and yoke. The hide has been intentionally aged, scratched, and abraded to produce a surface that reads as decades-worn rather than freshly produced.
What do the painted words on the jacket reference?
AVSKUM (Swedish for “scum”) references the Gothenburg crust-punk band of the same name. NEGATIVE FX references the seminal Boston hardcore punk band. GLOOM is hand-painted in red. Together with the Enfants Riches Déprimés name, the tags create a layered punk citation system — the jacket functioning as a wearable liner-notes page for the underground.
Are the studs and spikes removable?
No. The conical spikes and dome studs are individually hand-set into the leather during production and are integral to the jacket’s design. They should not be removed, repositioned, or replaced.
How should I care for this jacket?
Specialist leather cleaning only. Store on a wide padded hanger in a cool, dry space away from direct sunlight and heat. Do not machine wash, submerge in water, tumble dry, or steam. Do not attempt to remove paint, distressing, or any hand-applied markings — all surface elements are permanent design features.
Is the Spiked & Painted Leather Jacket a limited release?
Yes — and each piece is effectively a one-of-one. The hand-studding, hand-painting, and hand-distressing processes mean that every jacket carries unique stud placement, paint application, and surface marking. Once the micro-batch is exhausted, the design will not be replicated.
