The ERD Safety Pin Hoodie takes a garment apart just enough to make its wear feel earned. Cut from faded blue heirloom cotton, it treats distress not as decoration but as the whole point.

The front carries the “ENFANTS RICHES DÉPRIMÉS” logotype in a dark tonal serif, stacked across two lines high on the chest — restrained against a body that does the rest of the talking. The garment is deliberately destroyed: frayed holes and shredded openings scatter across the hood, cuffs, hem, and pocket, with the sun-faded dye bleaching unevenly from deep blue at the shoulders to washed-out grey along the edges. The back is left clean of print, its damage doing the work.

The cut is a relaxed pullover hoodie: a drawcord hood, kangaroo pocket, ribbed cuffs and hem, and the oversized unisex volume the house is built on. The washed, broken-in hand feels decades old from the first wear.

Enfants Riches Déprimés was founded in 2012 by conceptual artist Henri Alexander Levy. The name is French for “Depressed Rich Kids” — a collision of 1970s French avant-garde tailoring with raw punk nihilism, engineered into hyper-exclusive, deliberately isolating objects. Each piece is released in strictly limited micro-batches and individually hand-finished: a refusal of disposable fashion, built to last a lifetime.
