How to measure. Lay a pair of pants you own flat. Waist is measured across the top seam to seam, then doubled. Hip is measured across the widest point, then doubled. The ERD Only Son (Bruised) Jeans Patched Deep Blue carry their damage like a name — deep, dirtied indigo bruised with fading and stamped with a face that watches from the thigh.
The wash is a rich medium-to-deep blue, worn unevenly with heavy whiskering at the hips, blown-out highlights down the legs, and grimy shadowing that reads like the denim was dragged through something it can’t shake.
On the left thigh sits a printed portrait — a face rendered in faded monochrome, ghostly and dislocated, the “bruised” only son staring out from the fabric. A small embroidered mark near the right pocket and light knee distressing complete the detailing.
The cut is a five-pocket flare, slim through the thigh and kicking out into a boot leg that ends in violently frayed, shredded hems trailing loose threads. Branded rivets, a zip fly, and the “Enfants Riches Déprimés” waistband label finish it.
