The ERD Napoleon Shirt is a manifesto worn against the skin — washed black cotton overprinted with a dense block of French prose and an engraving pulled from another century’s collapse.

The upper graphic is a paragraph of antique French text, set in a serif face that mimics the crumbling type of an old pamphlet. It reads like a decree half-remembered, an argument nobody won, printed in worn white ink that fades into the fabric.

Below it sits a detailed line engraving: an ornate interior scene framed by scrollwork, flanked by two small standing figures in period dress, like sentries guarding a room already emptied of meaning. The image has the fine, etched quality of a banknote or an old book plate.

Enfants Riches Déprimés — French for “Depressed Rich Kids” — was founded in 2012 by conceptual artist Henri Alexander Levy. The label collides 1970s French avant-garde tailoring with raw punk nihilism, producing hyper-exclusive, isolating objects in strictly limited micro-batches: a refusal of disposable fashion, built to last a lifetime.
