The ERD Italian Romance Jacket doesn’t romanticize anything — it just outlives whoever’s wearing it. Washed to the colour of a bruise that never fully healed, this is denim built for people who fell out of love with the idea of forever and kept the jacket anyway.

Across the back, ENFANTS RICHES DÉPRIMÉS is stamped in cracked, half-erased lettering, sitting above a large distressed photographic print — grainy, ghosted, boxed off like evidence in a case nobody’s closing. It reads like a memory somebody tried to burn and only half succeeded. On the chest, a small “E.R.D.” patch keeps it quiet up front; the damage is saved for your back, where you can’t see it happening to you. Silver snap cuffs and a heavy point collar finish it — hardware for a jacket that expects to get worse-looking, not better.

Cut oversized and unisex, this is heavyweight cotton denim worked and reworked until it looks like it’s already survived you. Founded in 2012 by conceptual artist Henri Alexander Levy, Enfants Riches Déprimés — French for “Depressed Rich Kids” — has spent over a decade collapsing 1970s French avant-garde tailoring into raw punk nihilism. The label doesn’t make clothing so much as isolating objects: hyper-exclusive, deliberately hard to get, harder to forget.
