How to measure. Lay a jacket you own flat and buttoned. Chest is measured across the front seam to seam, then doubled. Length runs from the highest shoulder point to the hem. Allow a ½–1 inch tolerance. Fit. ERD jackets are cut oversized. If you sit between two sizes or plan to layer lightly, size down.
Erd Death In Flight Jacket
The ERD Death in Flight Jacket looks like something salvaged from a runway nobody walked away from. Washed to a flat, dusty brown, it carries the tired, sun-bleached weight of a jacket that’s already seen the worst layover of someone’s life.
Across the back, a boxed illustration shows two figures seated on airstair steps beneath a plane’s fuselage, the word ENFANTS stenciled overhead in faded blue like old departure signage. It’s rendered in a soft, comic-panel style — muted, grainy, almost nostalgic, until you notice how still the figures are sitting on a staircase that’s supposed to be moving people somewhere. Smaller text sits beneath the image, mostly worn away, the way flight information degrades on a board nobody’s updated in years. Up front, the jacket keeps it simple: point collar, full front zip, and a small embroidered wing-and-star emblem near the chest — the only clue something aeronautical happened here before you turned it around.
Made in heavyweight cotton with an oversized unisex fit, the elasticated hem and cuffs pull the jacket into a rounded, worn-in bomber shape built to fade further with time, not resist it. Washed cotton like this needs simple, careful handling, so check the garment care before you clean it. Runs S, M, L, XL.
Founded in 2012 by conceptual artist Henri Alexander Levy, Enfants Riches Déprimés — French for “Depressed Rich Kids” — has spent over a decade running 1970s French avant-garde tailoring headlong into raw punk nihilism. Every piece exists as a hyper-exclusive, isolating object rather than a straightforward garment — designed to sit heavy in a wardrobe, not blend into one.
Crafted across Los Angeles (USA), Italy, and Japan.
Some flights never land. This jacket’s still on the tarmac.
