The ERD Corduroy Jacket keeps its worst thoughts in soft fabric, same as it always does. Cast entirely in black cotton corduroy, it’s the kind of piece that looks unassuming folded on a shelf and considerably less so once you turn it around.

Across the back, “enfants riches déprimés” runs in heavy gothic script above a dense woodcut-style illustration — a hooded, bearded figure gripping a blade against a cross, rendered in stark white against the black corduroy like an old print pulled off a broken press. The contrast does the work here: no colour, no distraction, just the graphic sitting hard against a completely black field. Up front, the jacket goes still — a structured point collar, full front zip, slash hip pockets, and a small “e.r.d.” script mark near the chest, the only hint of what’s printed on the other side. Elasticated hem and cuffs round the shape into something closer to a cropped bomber than a jacket with anything to prove.
