The Enfants Riches Déprimés Braided Belt is old-world craft dressed for a funeral. Woven from black and ivory leather in a tight two-tone braid and finished with ornate silver hardware, it takes a handmade, almost folkloric technique and hangs it with iron crosses and roses — heritage soured into something colder.
The details reward a closer look: a black-and-ivory braided strap running the full length, an antiqued silver buckle and keeper engraved with roses and vines, a small iron-cross detail, and a sculpted metal tip. The weave is dense and tactile; the hardware is tarnished on purpose, the pale strands catching every mark the dark ones hide.
