Enfants Riches Déprimés Soviet Painting Hat
The ERD Soviet Painting hat borrows an emblem from a regime and turns it into merchandise for a country that never existed.
A small hammer-and-sickle-style crest sits embroidered above the text, black stitching against heather grey wool, formal in a way that feels deliberately out of place on a baseball cap. “SOVIET PAINTING” spreads across the crown in bold serif capitals, arched slightly like a title lifted from an old propaganda poster. A contrasting navy brim breaks from the grey crown, structured and stiff, giving the whole hat a two-tone, mismatched feel.
Wool crown, cotton brim, structured six-panel construction, adjustable strap closure. Hand-finished in a small run, gone once it’s sold through. Wash notes are under garment care. One size.
Henri Alexander Levy started Enfants Riches Déprimés in 2012. The name means “Depressed Rich Kids.” Same fight the label’s always run on — old French tailoring against punk that never learned to sit still.
